Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will evaluate, plan, and implement evidence-based treatment programs designed to improve residents’ independence, safety, and overall quality of life. You will play a key role in interdisciplinary collaboration, patient and caregiver education, and delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine functional impairments and therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and IADLs
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to promote safety and independence
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and functional strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in care planning meetings and team collaboration
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• In good standing with all relevant licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills
