Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator specializing in Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker, and various heavy equipment to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for efficiently managing inventory movement, order picking, and material handling across multiple shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, safety awareness aligned with OSHA standards, and experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. - Friday - Sunday 5a-5p
Other:
$600 attendance bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and manual methods to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements
- Load and unload goods from trucks while adhering to safety standards in production environments
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation; escalate mechanical issues as needed
- Assist with warehouse management tasks including inventory control, stock organization, and dock stocking
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against orders and documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while minimizing risk of injury
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and ensure timely order fulfillment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker technology
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to industrial equipment operation and manual handling
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurement tasks
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus
- Ability to work various shifts reliably in a fast-paced environment
