What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Office Assistant position at Focus Wellness?
Customer service is the name of the game for our Front Desk Receptionist. They are the first face a patient sees as they walk through the door, so a friendly personality is a must. The Front Desk Receptionist helps organize the office and ensures patients are presented in a timely manner. They also serve as a filter between the patient and wellness providers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, clean, and sanitize rooms after each use
- Field incoming calls to the office
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendar
- Acquire required information from the patient
- Submit and verify insurance information
- Apply payments
- Review and resolve collection issues
- Other duties as required
Required Skills:
- Impeccable customer service
- Takes initiative and is a problem solver
- Ability to stay organized and help others stay organized
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry
- Reliable and flexible
- Previous experience in a Front Desk Receptionist role or in a healthcare/wellness office is a plus
The ideal candidate can work days and evenings, to fill the gaps in our current schedule and is willing to be flexible (within reason) as we assess and adjust our service hours to fit our patients needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
