Patient Intake & Scheduling Specialist

Focus Sleep Centers is hiring a Patient Intake & Scheduling Specialist to support our growing sleep medicine practice. This role is the front door of the patient experience and plays a key part in helping patients move forward with care.We are looking for someone who can carry on confident, professional conversations with patients, explain next steps clearly, and help patients feel comfortable moving forward with scheduling their sleep study when clinically appropriate.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess incoming patient referrals accurately and efficientlyVerify referral completeness (demographics, insurance, clinical reason)Enter and maintain patient records in electronic systemsSchedule patient consult appointments and sleep studiesCommunicate confidently with patients to explain the importance of completing recommended careHelp overcome common patient hesitations (cost, scheduling concerns, uncertainty) through education and clear communicationPerform insurance eligibility and benefit verification (training provided)Document all outreach and activity according to SOPsCoordinate with providers and internal teams to keep patients moving through careRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong phone presence and communication skillsComfortable discussing scheduling, timing, and next steps with patientsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsReliable, professional, and patient-focusedPreferred (Strong Plus)Healthcare intake, scheduling, or patient access experienceSales, customer success, or call-center background with consultative communicationAbility to build rapport quickly and guide patients toward scheduling recommended servicesExperience explaining benefits, costs, or next steps in a clear, reassuring wayFamiliarity with EHR or medical scheduling systemsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay up to $41,600 annuallyStable weekday schedule — no nights or weekendsStructured training with clear workflows and talk tracksOpportunity to grow into advanced patient access or leadership rolesSupportive team environment focused on patient care and outcomes Company DescriptionFocus Sleep Centers, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, specializes in testing and treating sleep disorders such as snoring, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and more.
