We are seeking a dependable and vigilant Security Staff to join our team at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. As a member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors in a warm and welcoming environment.

Job Summary:

As a Security Staff, you will be responsible for providing physical security, asset protection, access control, crime prevention, compliance enforcement, incident documentation and investigation, and resident and staff education. You will also maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Additionally, you will provide assistance, guidance, and direction to visitors and vendors, and maintain a directory and files on active and discharged residents.

Responsibilities:

• Support the facility through physical security, asset protection, access control, crime prevention, compliance enforcement, incident documentation and investigation, and resident and staff education
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
• Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to visitors and vendors
• Maintain directory and files on active and discharged residents
• Direct inquiries regarding resident condition to appropriate personnel
• Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
• Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings
• Attend meetings as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-year experience as a security guard in a healthcare setting
• Ability to maintain operations, policies, and procedures that minimize the risk of death or bodily injury, damage to or loss of property and facility assets, compromise of confidential information, damage to or loss of facility reputation or certification
• Ability to implement and adhere to policies concerning staff identification, resident visitation, contractor identification and access, searches, resident property storage, preservation of evidence, incident reporting, and emergency planning
