Activities Aide Responsibilities:
- Carry out individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, needs, and interests of each resident, including cultural and religious interests
- Provide activities to residents requiring individual interventions, adapting them to reflect life-long interests and adapted to the individual's functional abilities and level of participation
- Assist residents with activities as needed, using task segmentation, verbal prompts, set-up assistance, physical assists, and demonstrations
- Adapt activities to match the cognitive and physical functional levels of residents through the use of assistive devices, technology, and other creative strategies
- Provide activities in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience in healthcare or related field preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Competitive hourly rate of $15-$16
