We’re looking for an experienced Event Producer to join our team at a pivotal point in the agency's growth.

THE ROLE

You are an experienced Producer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is super detail driven, collaborative, and knows how to bring ambitious ideas to reality. This role requires a strong mix of production expertise, logistical mastery, creative problem solving ability, and calm, confident client communication.

You’ll play an integral role in leading (and at times supporting) production for a diverse mix of FOCUS client projects of various formats — from fashion runway shows, to VIP dinners, to large scale immersive events and exhibitions — this position will provide an opportunity to really hone your experiential and show production skills, and hopefully have a ton of fun while you're at it!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead end-to-end production for client events, shows, experiences and other projects as assigned (at times this position may play a supporting role, dependent on the scale and complexity of the project in question)
• Manage project timelines, event decks, meeting agendas, and budgets with a high level of precision and care
• Manage freelance staff and third-party vendors from briefing, to negotiating and overseeing work outputs
• Collaborate with internal creative, operations and strategy teams to bring event concepts to life
• Source, build and nurture relationships with venues, suppliers, creative and technical partners
• Client communications and account management - serve as the day-to-day point of contact for existing clients on project related matters, providing exceptional client servicing
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand, to the highest standard
• Contribute to growth initiatives and strategic planning, by supporting leadership with proposal development, concepting and ideation as needed
• Continuous research to ensure Focus has a competitive edge in relation to the latest venue openings, event industry trends, best practices, and opportunities to innovate
• Maintain detailed documentation and databases in accordance with agency processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5-7 years of work experience in event planning/production, ideally with experience organizing complex brand events, either agency side or in-house for a brand
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to collaborate with clients, team members, and vendors effectively and confidently
• An elevated eye and POV that translates into polished client presentations and creative decisions
• Proficiency in budgeting with experience managing 7 figure budgets
• Project Management skills including the ability to prioritize, delegate, multitask, and deliver results on deadlines
• Strong technical understanding (AV, staging, scenic, fabrication, lighting, permitting)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, solutions-driven, and highly organized
• Calm under pressure, able to maintain composure and a positive, can-do attitude even during challenging periods
• Experience producing both fashion shows and experiential brand events is highly desirable, but its not a requirement that candidates have experience in both -- candidates must have significant experience either producing runway shows or brand events.
• Must be NYC based - minimum of 3 days in office and up to 5 days per week in office required during busy periods.
