The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and finishes to vehicles, ensuring high-quality results that meet dealership and customer standards. Experience in auto body repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and finishing touches using airless paint spraying, buffing, and hand tools.
- Operate power tools and spray equipment safely and effectively to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and structural repairs as needed.
- Conduct detailing and finishing work to enhance the appearance of vehicles before delivery.
- Assist with auto glass installation and repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle repairs and restorations, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body painting, auto restoration, or related fields; dealership experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with auto body repair techniques including welding, buffing, and vehicle maintenance.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and customer service principles is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and auto glass installation is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
