Focus Capital is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer with a background in data analytics, interested in working with emerging technologies, to extract value from vast amounts of data in order to drive value and enhance the organization globally. The role is a hybrid of data engineering, quantitative analytics and full-stack development.
In this role, you will support one of the top fintech teams to develop data-driven tools, innovative reporting tools, dashboards, and new infrastructure that unlocks analytic insights. Much of the work would be in Python frameworks and libraries. You will develop new POCs and enhancements from tools within the codebase and emerging AI models and implement them into the data analytics processes within the organization.
You will also interface with business stakeholders to help them understand the overall sentiment analysis and value add within the data.
This ideal candidate must be technical and capable of driving digital innovation among the data engineers, while also capable of interfacing with business stakeholders and developing analytics reporting and data visualization standards from a plethora of business and customer data.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Must have professional experience with Python (i.e. pandas, numpy)
- Experience developing ETL pipelines and data infrastructure
- Professional experience deploying machine learning model is ideal.
- Prior experience with Spark and SQL.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (i.e. React, Node) and GraphQL is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, LLMs and NLP is strongly desired.
- Experience in a cloud environment (i.e. AWS, GCP Azure)
- Azure Databricks experience is a plus
- Experience with Git to manage code repositories
- Ability to translate complex mathematical models and data science concepts into business decisions (and vice versa)
- Bachelors degree in computer science, statistics or engineering or a related field of study.
Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
