Foam N More Inc., a specialty foam fabricator in Troy/Clawson, MI 48017, is hiring a Shipping Coordinator. To ensure promise dates are met, organizes and arranges daily freight, coordinates freight pickups with carriers, and performs all needed entries for UPS ground shipments and check on invoiced shipments. Ensure documentation accuracy and on time shipment of products so that they flow smoothly.
ROLE OVERVIEW
- Manage daily shipping and/or receiving activities that primarily include parcel and LTL shipping and receiving
- Ensure accuracy in printing and applying shipping labels, receiving products against PO with precise counts.
- Enters data for outgoing shipments in the computer
- Provide quality inspection of outgoing packages
- Print shipment labels and custom documents where necessary
- Ensure shipments are properly identified and labeled
- Track and update the status of outgoing and incoming shipments
- Ensure correct packing techniques for outgoing shipments
- Troubleshoot shipping issues that arise and work to solve them
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Responsible for management of accurate files. Complete report forms, ensure files, logs and lists are maintained and complete required paperwork (i.e. Bills of lading (BOL),shipping orders, etc.
YOU WILL:
· Learn an extensive foam product line and how foam properties and shipping methods affect orders to perform quality checks prior to releasing any package.
· Spend roughly 60% of your time performing desk/data entry work.
· Spend roughly 40% of your time reviewing shipping quality control, making sure the right package is shipped to the correct destination on time.
· Regularly answer inbound calls/emails/texts regarding order shipment status.
REQUIRED
· Positive, team‑oriented attitude and strong organization/attention to detail.
· Comfortable working independently in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
· Proficient with Outlook, Excel; able to learn QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
· Able to occasionally lift 30 lbs and stand 2–3 hours on busy days.
· Spoken and written English required.
PREFERRED
· Basic knowledge/experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, UPS Worldship & FedEx
SCHEDULE | PAY | WORK ENVIRONMENT
· $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
· Schedule: 9 am–4 pm, Monday–Friday (35 hours/week).
· No weekends or overtime; consistent hours every week.
· Small, hands-on team in a warehouse/bull-pen office setting.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
