What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at Foam It Insulation?
Foam It Insulation is seeking a full-time or part-time shop mechanic.
This position performs repairs and maintenance on our 30 plus vehicle fleet. Daily duties of our shop mechanic consist of routine maintenance and repairs: oil changes, greasing, brakes, replacing seals, motor diagnostics, shop tool repairs/fix
Our fleet setting maintaining company owned International 4700 Series box trucks, years 98-01 and smaller fleet vans.
Salary for shop mechanic will depend on experience. Employee benefits are: paid time off and discounted remodeling services.

Responsibilities
- Clear, detailed, and accurate notes during repairs.
- Work environments are a combination of indoor and exterior work.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be able drive 26’ box trucks.
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues as a shop mechanic
Requirements
- Valid driver's license, No DUI's or lapse of vehicle insurance coverage
- Drug free workplace
- Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication skills
- A problem-solving ability
- Very good physical strength and stamina
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
