Responsibilities
- Assist in the placement, spreading, and leveling of asphalt on roadways and highways
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sweeping, or compacting base materials
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, lutes, and tampers
- Work alongside paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers)
- Direct traffic flow and maintain safe job-site conditions
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Perform site cleanup and general labor duties as assigned
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor conditions (heat, dust, noise)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Able to travel and work nights and weekends
