What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate/Sr. Accounting Associate position at FNC Bank?
The Accounting Associate role is an on-site position based in our New Richmond, WI branch location. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Associate include:
- Work directly with customers either by phone, electronically, or face to face
- Research, reconcile, and resolve issues with customer accounts and internal accounts
- Process incoming and outgoing wires
- Process Accounts Payable, fixed assets and prepaids
- Assist with remote deposit capture and cash management customers
- Process unposted charge backs, non-sufficient funds, and ACH returns
- Order foreign currency
- Process, verify, and monitor stop payments, foreign checks, and WSUD
- Maintain and assist with safe deposit box entries and closures
- Research and provide documentation for summons or subpoena requests, levies/garnishments, and reclamations
- Preparation and assistance with internal/external audits as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred, with relevant bank accounting work history (1-2 years, additional years required to obtain Sr. level role/title/pay)
- Excellent communication skills required; ability to work in a team environment, learn quickly, and apply knowledge as needed
- Proficient in computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to uphold confidentiality and customer privacy in all situations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet daily deadlines, multitask
Software Operating Requirements Include:
- Familiarity/experience with Windows systems
- Familiarity/experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
- Familiarity/experience with ADOBE Acrobat
- Familiarity or experience with core bank software (Jack Henry) preferred but not required.
