Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic financial and operational leader for the U.S. subsidiary of a global manufacturing and government contracting firm. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial functions—including accounting, compliance, and FP&A—as well as leading the Information Technology (IT) function to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable systems that support government contract requirements and business operations. The CFO is a key business partner to the U.S. CEO and a primary liaison to the global finance and IT teams.

Financial Strategy & Oversight
Master’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required.
Experience Requirements
10 years of progressive financial leadership, including experience in manufacturing and government contracting required. Significant experience working with external auditors, internal control, and compliance-related issues. Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS, CAS, and government cost accounting. Experience working within a multinational or global corporate structure. Proven track record of leading IT or digital transformation, preferably in a defense or highly regulated environment.

Typical office environment with travel between buildings and other locations required (up to 15% domestic travel and up to 10% international travel). May be exposed to loud noises, toxic chemicals, and dangerous machinery when on the plant floor.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Oversight
- Direct and oversee U.S. accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Ensure pricing policy and compliance with U.S. GAAP, FAR/DFARS, CAS, and internal financial controls.
- Provide financial insight and strategic analysis to support business planning, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
- Lead development of indirect rates and pricing strategies for government proposals.
- Participate in planning and implementing overall growth strategies and policies in line with FN Browning Group business strategy.
- Drive financial modeling and scenario planning to support investment decisions, cost management, and capital allocation.
- Collaborate with business areas to ensure financial alignment across all functions.
- Represent the U.S. subsidiary in global finance forums and cross-border planning sessions.
- Prepare U.S. reporting packages for consolidation with the global parent company (in compliance with IFRS or other standards, if applicable).
- Maintain transparency and coordination with global finance and executive leadership.
- Support cross-border audits, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the monthly performance dialogue process with parent company.
- Lead and manage the U.S. IT function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cybersecurity requirements.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), enterprise applications, and government-compliant systems.
- Ensure systems and infrastructure meet NIST, CMMC, and other security standards for federal contractors.
- Collaborate with corporate/global IT to align strategies, investments, and policies.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and data governance efforts.
- Maintain full compliance with federal acquisition regulations and cost accounting standards.
- Coordinate with DCAA and other agencies during audits and reviews.
- Ensure proper financial structures and reporting for cost-plus, fixed price, and T&M contracts.
- Manage and develop the finance and IT teams, building capability and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Serve as a visible leader and change agent during transformation initiatives.
