For our office near Amsterdam, in Badhoevedorp, we are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to support and elevate our financial operations. In this role, you will be at the heart of accounting, month-end closing and financial reporting, while also managing day-to-day financial administration and payroll for France and Belgium.

What will you do?
As our Assistant Financial Controller, you won’t just process data, you’ll ensure financial accuracy, drive timely reporting and support the financial operations in France and Belgium.
Your impact:
Own the month-end close: Lead the process for France and Belgium, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Master the details: Prepare accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Streamline financial operations: Manage accounts receivable, supplier invoices and bank reconciliations, while supporting VAT, payroll and insurance-related accounting.
Collaborate across borders: Coordinate payroll and HR administration with external providers, handling employee documentation, onboarding/offboarding and insurance matters.
Drive clarity: Support weekly AR and cash-flow reporting and maintain a deep understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
What do you bring?
Experience & Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
Over 2 years of experience in accounting, finance administration or a similar role.
A solid grasp of accounting principles, month-end closing and reconciliations (AP/AR).
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with accounting systems (preferably Exact Online).
Fluency in French and English is a must.
Experience with French or Belgian accounting, payroll or HR administration is a plus.
