The CT Technologist 2 performs specialized diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires advanced technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. The technologist also maintains equipment, manages patient records, and supports departmental workflow in a hospital setting.

   • Effectively communicates with patient to obtain clinical history/informed consent from patient or patient's chart to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination, as evidenced by the exam results.
   • Procedures are explained to patients/families and technologist answers any questions to ease anxiety and assure patient cooperation, as evidenced by customer satisfaction.
   • Assistance is provided to the physician in performing a variety of examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions and/or sterile technique, as evidenced by physician's satisfaction.
   • Clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams are identified and take appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcome, as evidenced by exam results and patient satisfaction.
   • Patient safety is demonstrated in department by use of side rails, braking mechanisms and patient monitoring as evidenced by risk management reports.

   • Equipment is troubleshot effectively and immediately and reports equipment problems to biomedical engineering/vendor, as evidenced by service reports.
