Job Description
Assists the therapists/therapist assistants in transporting, lifting, transferring and treating patients. Assists in conducting general patient activity programs under the supervision of the therapists/therapist assistants. Maintains equipment, supplies and facilities. Reports to Assistant Director, Clinical Coordinator and/or Senior Rehab Technician as indicated.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
Prior training or experience in related environment is preferred.
Special Skills
Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures.

Responsibilities
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and safety.
- Transports patients to/from therapy programs appropriately considering the patient's age, diagnosis and physical and mental limitations.
- Assists in conducting specified treatment activities; observes patients in treatment activities and reports observations to therapists/therapist assistants.
- Prepares treatment areas, patients and equipment for treatments. Provides assistance to professional staff as needed during patient evaluations and treatments.
- Assures that department is clean, neat and orderly.
- Performs tech duties in assigned areas.
- Labels defective equipment; completes assigned maintenance duties.
- Orders and maintains established levels of supplies.
- Performs clerical duties such as filing, errands and answering the telephone upon request.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested to enhance the department.
