Job Description
Under the supervision of the Activities Coordinator for the assigned area of the Village, assists in providing innovative services that meet the needs of residents through recreational, educational, spiritual and life skills program in a productive manner.
Responsibilities
Experience - Experience working with the elderly in a long-term environment preferred; demonstrated creativity, with interest and skills in areas of music, arts and crafts and exercise is beneficial.
Education- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent; have special talents/skills/training to work with the elderly in an activity setting.
Special Skills - Interest in and understanding of working with the elderly; good judgment in conducting resident activity; good social interaction skills; cheerful and outgoing; ability to work with interruptions and sometimes stressful situations; ability to follow instructions and carry out projects independently when directed.

Responsibilities
- Maintains and supports the mission and philosophy of St. Catherine's Village, Inc.
- Assists with conducting resident activities and transportation.
- Assists and works cooperatively with volunteers assigned to the same work area.
- Follows Village and departmental policies and procedures.
- Effectively works as a member of the Marketing and Administration team through open communication with staff, volunteers and families.
- Exhibits an understanding of the aging adult and stays informed of innovative program concepts, incorporating these into the existing program and helping create new programs.
- Respects resident and family privacy by maintaining confidential restricted information gained in any way.
- Maintains high standards of professional appearance and conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
