Welder - Structural/Mechanical

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work effectively in a construction or manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials, including sheet metal and ductwork.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly of components and pipe threading.
• Operate cranes and forklifts as needed for material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance in accordance with ASME codes & standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding.
• Familiarity with mechanical tools such as calipers, micrometers, press brake machines, and plasma cutting equipment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
• Experience with rigging and machining processes is advantageous.
