We’re a marketing software company that serves small business owners, primarily financial advisors, and insurance agents. About 40,000 small businesses use our tools to build websites and send out our content. Generally, these businesses don’t have marketing departments but are growth-minded enough to know they need to market themselves.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Web Designer to join our fast pace website build team. As a Junior Web Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web design mockups using a design system of components and sections.
Your objective will be to produce personalized designs for each advisor, contribute input to the development of our design framework and collaborate closely with our front-end development and project teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about web design and eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Compensation This position offers $45,800 with the opportunity to earn up to $4200 in yearly bonus.
Primary Responsibilities & Expectations
- Create data-driven web design mockups using a system of section components, ensuring a consistent and cohesive user experience.
- Utilize Figma to design and prototype web interfaces, and possess a strong understanding of design system principles.
- Actively contribute to the development and optimization of design frameworks and sectional components.
- Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
- Communicate effectively and comfortably with business professionals, understanding their requirements and incorporating feedback into the design process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design, and proactively suggest innovative ideas to improve our design processes.
- Access to a private & secure workspace, free from distractions
- Accessible during the assigned work schedule for regular duties and responsibilities as outlined by the supervisor
- An internet connection with speeds of 5 Megabits down / 3 Megabits up (5mbps/3mbps)
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in web design tools, particularly Figma
- Understanding how content management systems work.
- Knowledge of design systems and experience implementing them is a plus.
- Familiarity with front-end development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and business professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions
- A portfolio showcasing previous web design projects and demonstrating a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
