Part-Time Opportunity this summer
We’re looking for a kind, dependable individual to work part-time with our 22-year-old son, who may be home on for a variable amount of time this summer (from college in KY) - we can discuss. It may be as little as 5 hours or as often as 25 hours a week, we will not know this for a few weeks.
He’s bright, funny, and thoughtful — and he has high functioning autism. He enjoys traveling, staying active, and continuing to grow in independence. We’re hoping to find a supportive fun adult who’s interested in building a genuine connection while helping him navigate life.
What this role includes:
- Attending events and activities (loves sports!!) He is unable to drive
- Staying active and engaged around the area
- Study support and accountability if necessary (may be taking an online course)
- Helping connect with professors and build positive relationships
- Mentoring through social media challenges and helping create occasional social media opportunities -
- Practicing social and life skills
- Spending relaxed, positive time together
This is a peer mentor/companion role — not related to drug or alcohol addition counseling.
Patience, reliability, kindness and a positive attitude matter most.
*Experience with Individuals with special needs or abilities appreciated.
*Funded through a state agency, drug, fingerprint and background testing are mandatory

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
