What will your day to day look like?
This role is all about getting stuck into the detail, as you’ll be tasked with overseeing the design and production of HVAC&R equipment. An average week might include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
- Making sure technical data is properly documented
- Monitoring and reporting on project status and developments
- Assisting designers in developing the structural design of products
- Using drafting or CAD tools to aid structural design
- Ensuring conformance with engineering design and performance specs
- Evaluating the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs
- Acting as a customer feedback loop
- Estimating project costs and submitting bids
This role will suit you if you…
- Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Have a few years’ experience in an aligned role
- Understand manufacturing methods used in HVAC&R
- Can think critically and make good judgement calls
- Are happy handling multiple projects at the same time
