Backed by multi-billion-dollar general contractors, they are bringing together SaaS and automation technology to address the most pressing challenges in the industry.
What you’ll be doing
As a VDC Engineer within the operations team, you will process customer CAD data for current and future layout robots to successfully deliver accurate and valuable layout information in the field. In addition, you will help the team successfully innovate new tools to streamline and improve the CAD processing pipeline and be a key enabler for the company’s success.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
- Work within Revit and AutoCAD to ingest customer CAD data and process it for the automated layout robot
- Represent the company by coordinating with customer VDC teams to ensure our client is receiving the right data at the right time
- Work closely with our customers to improve their data pipelines and push the construction industry forward
- Innovate novel workstreams as new print features are requested by customers
- Implement plugins and scripts in Revit and AutoCAD to improve processing efficiency and accuracy
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be based in Houston and are happy to travel to customers’ job sites.
You’ll have deep familiarity with the construction industry.
A few other key skills our client is looking for:
- Comfortable working with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to process and manipulate CAD data
- Excellent communication teams
- Eager to learn new technologies, grow as an individual and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Driven to improve things around you, and excited to identify, refine and/or implement improvements to company processes and customer experience
- Preferable experience with field layout for interior installation work
