Position
This position supports several innovative approaches to expanding affordable homeownership opportunities through residential rental to condominium and cooperative conversions. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in moving projects from concept through closing, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned, accountable, and on schedule while gaining meaningful exposure to mortgage lending and real estate development.
The role coordinates between sponsors, lenders, not-for-profits, realtors, consultants, internal teams, and residents. Responsibilities include tracking milestones, maintaining momentum, and ensuring no detail is overlooked. The position also works directly with residents — in both English and Spanish — to explain the program, support outreach efforts, and guide participants through the path to ownership.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience in real estate, affordable housing development, mortgage lending, or project coordination (preferred)
- Experience facilitating groups through trainings or program activities (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator comfortable speaking with groups
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally out of state
Location
· The position will operate out of our New York City Brooklyn and Midtown offices.
- Frequent travel within the five boroughs will be required.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience
