Key Responsibilities
- Network Design and Implementation: Assist in the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-level wired and wireless network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN configurations. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
- Network Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security according to industry and company standard change management procedures.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, providing Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents and outages.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS) to protect network integrity.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance using tools like Entuity, Netbrain, Meraki, and Strata Cloud Manager, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or anomalies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects, system integrations, and cloud connectivity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Capacity Planning: Assess current and future network needs, recommending upgrades or expansions to support business growth.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and continuously test network redundancy and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
