Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and documenting the company’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. This role involves configuring and troubleshooting network devices, monitoring network performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation: Assist in the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-level wired and wireless network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN configurations. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.

• Network Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security according to industry and company standard change management procedures.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, providing Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents and outages.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS) to protect network integrity.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance using tools like Entuity, Netbrain, Meraki, and Strata Cloud Manager, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or anomalies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects, system integrations, and cloud connectivity.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Capacity Planning: Assess current and future network needs, recommending upgrades or expansions to support business growth.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and continuously test network redundancy and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
