What are the responsibilities and job description for the Decorative Concrete Crew Lead position at FlynnStone Decorative Concrete?
FlynnStone Decorative Concrete is looking for a dependable, ambitious, and quality-driven Crew Lead – Decorative Concrete to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside a small installation crew while taking responsibility for completing projects correctly, efficiently, and professionally from start to finish.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a project, solve problems in the field, communicate well with customers and management, and hold themselves and their crew to a high standard.
What You'll Do
- Lead a crew of approximately 2–4 people.
- Manage daily project workflow and crew productivity.
- Review project scopes and ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Prepare concrete and install decorative flooring systems.
- Inspect each stage of work before moving to the next step.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common job-site issues independently.
- Manage materials, mixing, equipment, and job-site organization.
- Track crew hours, material usage, and project progress.
- Take project photos and document site conditions or unexpected issues.
- Communicate directly with customers and provide a professional on-site experience.
- Participate in final walkthroughs with the Salesperson or Owner.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Systems
After proper training, you will be expected to satisfactorily install systems including:
- Epoxy Flake
- Polyaspartic Flake
- Polished Concrete
- Grind & Seal
- Quartz Systems
- Metallic Epoxy
- Microcement
- Urethane Cement
Previous concrete, flooring, coatings, or construction experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Performance-Based Pay
$20–$30/hr based on demonstrated ability and performance.
Compensation will reflect your ability to independently lead projects, maintain quality standards, manage a crew, solve problems, communicate with customers, and consistently complete work on schedule.
Growth Opportunity
FlynnStone is growing toward multiple installation crews. The right person will have the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role as the company expands.
We're looking for someone who wants to build a career with the company, not just fill a position.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
