Residential Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of our clients’ homes. Your expertise in surface preparation, color application, and finishing will contribute to creating inviting, aesthetically pleasing environments. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Select appropriate paints, stains, and finishes based on project specifications and client preferences, utilizing your knowledge of color theory.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or other power tools efficiently and accurately.
• Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, and patching to create smooth, even surfaces before painting.
• Install or repair fixtures, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry elements, and other surface features as needed during renovation projects.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute painting plans within complex construction or remodeling sites.
• Maintain safety protocols on construction sites by properly handling hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and scaffolding.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of construction estimating and blueprint reading.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and masonry work.
• Familiarity with industrial painting methods such as airless paint spraying and industrial coatings is a plus.
• Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting suitable color schemes for their homes.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, trim carpentry, restoration work, and remodeling processes.
