About the role

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is entering an exciting new phase in the AMER region, beginning with franchise expansion in Central America, where partnerships are already in place and the first wave of store openings is planned for 2026.


The initial focus will be on supporting and guiding our franchise partners in Central America, Mexico and Canada. Expansion into the US is part of the longer-term roadmap (anticipated 2027–2028), but this role is first and foremost about successfully establishing and stabilizing our Central American franchise footprint. As the region moves from setup into execution, a strong operational backbone will be critical to long-term success.


As Head of Retail Excellence, AMER, you will work closely with franchise partners to translate global retail standards into high-quality local execution. The position is central to ensuring operational excellence, performance consistency, and brand alignment as the AMER business grows.


This is a senior individual-contributor leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for retail performance, operational follow-up, and franchise enablement across the AMER region. Rather than operating stores directly, the role focuses on performance steering, governance, and hands-on support of franchise partners to ensure consistent execution of Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s operating model and brand standards.


Based in our local office in Miami, FL, you will report directly to the Managing Director, AMER. Together with franchise partners in Central America and global HQ teams, you will support and guide operational delivery while enabling the successful launch, stabilization, and performance of new franchise stores across the region.


What you’ll be responsible for

Retail Operations & Performance

  • Drive revenue growth and operational performance across the AMER region through close monitoring of key retail KPIs and performance trends across franchise-operated stores.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, translating insights into concrete actions and clear recommendations for franchise partners, and ensuring effective execution in collaboration with them.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of global store operating models, processes, and brand standards through structured follow-up, guidance, and performance dialogue, supporting continuous improvement in operational quality.


Store Openings, Readiness & Franchise Support

  • Support franchise partners during store openings, rebuilds, and relocations from an operational excellence and readiness perspective.
  • Ensure stores are operationally ready at and after handover, including routines, staffing readiness, and operational standards within the franchise model.
  • Provide post-opening support to help franchise partners stabilize performance and embed operational best practices.


Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail operations across the AMER region, working closely with the Managing Director, AMER, global HQ teams, and franchise partners.
  • Provide structured performance updates, operational insights, and recommendations to leadership based on franchise performance and execution.
  • Lead and support the Store Operations Specialist, ensuring clear priorities, alignment, and professional development.


What we’re looking for

  • 6 years of experience in retail or store operations, ideally within multi-store and franchise environments.
  • Strong commercial mindset with solid understanding of retail KPIs and performance drivers.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy and standards into strong operational execution.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting and enabling partners within a growing organization.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Based in or able to commute to Miami, FL.
