Responsibilities
- Handle and package produce and other farm products carefully, ensuring quality control standards are met during packing and distribution processes
- Follow and understand the farm's harvest logs, customer order labels, and wholesale order forms
- Maintain food safety and inventory logs as task are completed
- Support team members with the daily tasks of a small farm packhouse and distribution center
- Show up to work with a good attitude and a sense of humor
Requirements
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely is a plus; certification preferred but not required
- Familiarity with farming practices is a plus
- Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, and performing equipment repairs or maintenance tasks is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts and work in all types of weather and temperatures
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping; strong attention to detail is essential
