ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a detail-oriented QC Technician to support our Quality Department in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is hands-on and plays a critical part in our daily production operations, sanitation oversight, and regulatory compliance.
POSITION DETAILS

Reports To: FSQA Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the FSQA Manager in food safety and quality program development, implementation, and maintenance (SQF System)
- Monitor daily compliance with GMPs, SOPs, safety practices, and work instructions
- Conduct product sampling, inspection, analysis, and internal audits
- Oversee and lead the Sanitation Department, including training, coaching, and documentation
- Ensure all raw materials and products are properly identified and traceable; test traceability annually
- Assist in ensuring products meet internal and customer specifications (weights, labeling, sensory)
- Lead training and evaluation of cleaning team; provide input on food safety evaluations for all staff
- Report unsafe conditions or repeated unsafe actions to Senior Management
- Maintain Quality Department operations independently for up to one week in the FSQA Manager's absence
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2-year college degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a food production environment
- Leadership experience required
- Certification in HACCP, SQF, and/or PCQI preferred
- Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, email, and network environments
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- High degree of reliability, focus, and ability to prioritize tasks independently and within a team
- Demonstrated understanding of basic technology and machinery in modern food production
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and demonstrate production actions
- Ability to work on feet for up to 6 hours
