What are the responsibilities and job description for the Livestock Handler; Ranch Hand position at Flying J Land and Livestock LLC?
Duties may include: Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Provide general care to newborn livestock. Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, corrals or other enclosures. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, irrigation lines, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Assist in plowing, planting, and night time baling when needed & other related Livestock Handler; Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
