Color Commentator & Sponsor Liaison – Live Sports Broadcasts

Ghost Sports TV (GSTV), a production of Flying Ghost Productions, is looking for a Color Commentator & Sponsor Liaison to join our broadcast team for the 2026–27 St. Helena High School football and basketball season.

We're looking for someone who loves sports, communicates well, and can bring personality, energy, and insight to a live broadcast.

You'll work alongside our lead play-by-play announcer as one of the voices viewers associate with St. Helena sports.

This role goes beyond calling the action. You'll help us tell the stories surrounding St. Helena athletics, connect with players and coaches, and make sure the local businesses and organizations supporting GSTV receive proper recognition throughout our broadcasts.

Responsibilities

As the GSTV Color Commentator & Sponsor Liaison, you will:

• Provide live color commentary alongside our lead play-by-play announcer
• Add analysis, reactions, observations, and conversation throughout football and basketball games
• Help create an entertaining and informative broadcast for viewers
• Clearly and consistently acknowledge GSTV sponsors during broadcasts
• Deliver sponsor talking points and promotional mentions naturally on air
• Conduct short sideline and courtside interviews with players, coaches, special guests, and community members
• Help identify interesting stories surrounding St. Helena athletics
• Work directly with the broadcast director and production crew
• Prepare before games by reviewing teams, players, storylines, and sponsor information
• Represent GSTV and Flying Ghost Productions professionally when interacting with schools, sponsors, athletes, coaches, and community members

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable speaking on a live microphone
• Has strong communication and conversational skills
• Has a good understanding of football and/or basketball
• Can think and react quickly during a live broadcast
• Has an engaging and personable on-air presence
• Can conduct short interviews confidently
• Is dependable and arrives prepared and on time
• Can communicate sponsor messages without making the broadcast feel like a commercial
• Works well as part of a live production team
• Is willing to learn and grow throughout the season

You do not have to sound like an ESPN commentator on day one. We're looking for someone with personality, sports knowledge, communication skills, and the potential to grow with GSTV.

Experience in sports broadcasting, announcing, radio, podcasting, interviewing, journalism, public speaking, or live production is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

$100 per game

Pay is negotiable based on previous broadcasting, announcing, media, or related experience.

This is seasonal, game-based work covering St. Helena High School football and basketball during the 2026–27 season.
