We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Food Safety and Quality Clerk to join our team! This position will work closely with the Food Safety and Quality Manager in monitoring, quantifying, and filing all necessary HACCP, USDA and FDA and other documentation.

This job operates in a laboratory setting or manufacturing facility where food products are processed. May require personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on environment. Employee will be exposed to varying temperatures, including cold refrigeration (38 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move 10- 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Food Safety and Quality Clerk to join our team! This position will work closely with the Food Safety and Quality Manager in monitoring, quantifying, and filing all necessary HACCP, USDA and FDA and other documentation.
Essential Functions
- Check daily food racks for allergen & date labeling.
- Making sure all food racks are covered.
- Responsible for 2nd temperature on cook in chill log.
- Comply with all HACCP and Flying Food Group sanitation and proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Check FIFO daily.
- Must advise supervisor if food is 72 hours old, must dispose of food after 72 hours must document and must document on waste log after advising supervisor.
- Comfortable handling employee minor disputes regarding working procedures and handle it professionally.
- Must keep coolers # 2 and #3 clean and organized re-wrapping if necessary.
- Must be flexible with work schedule and hours
- Works in an environment of 38 degrees.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math, and use a calculator.
- Ability to multi-task .
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
- Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
- Initiative - Asks for and offers help when needed.
- Language: English and Spanish preferred
- Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.
