What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/ Barista position at Flying Bull Taproom and Coffee Bar?
We're searching for an experienced and enthusiastic bartender with at least one year of hospitality experience, preferably surrounding craft beer and/or coffee. The ideal candidate is equally passionate about craft beer, cocktails, and espresso drinks and enjoys serving their community with a smile.
Responsibilities:
- Crafting and serving a wide range of beverages, including our extensive beer selection, classic cocktails and our new espresso drink menu.
- Quickly learning and accurately preparing new and seasonal cocktail and coffee recipes.
- Engaging with guests in a courteous, welcoming, and efficient manner, always with a smile.
- Following open and closing procedures as directed, without fail.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately including end of day reports.
- Monitoring inventory and communicating when items get low.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of bartending and/or barista experience.
- Extensive knowledge of craft beer styles
- Reliability and self-management are a must. In our small taproom and coffee bar, you will sometimes be the only employee on duty and therefore responsible for the establishment.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a consistently courteous and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliability is a must.
- Consistent, timely, and responsive communicator. Much communication happens via electronic means between our two locations and this is vital.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Location:
While your primary location will be at our 9th Street taproom and coffee bar, some bartending shifts may be required as needed at our nearby restaurant and brewery on Morris Street.
