Position Summary
flyADVANCED is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team supporting our flight school fleet at Queen City Airport (KXLL) in Allentown, PA.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining our expanding fleet of training aircraft as flight operations continue to grow. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general aviation maintenance, hold a valid A&P license, and be capable of performing and signing off their own work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on flight school aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
- Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all work performed is documented properly and in compliance with FAA standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with instructors, dispatchers, and maintenance leadership regarding aircraft status.
- Support additional maintenance activities as needed to ensure fleet readiness.
Requirements
- Current, violation-free Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate (required).
- Minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred; general aviation experience strongly desired.
- Ability to perform and sign off own work without direct supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and familiarity with piston-engine aircraft.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting aircraft technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Must provide personal tools suitable for general aviation maintenance work.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by maintenance schedules.
