Stocker

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Stocker to join our retail team, dedicated to creating an engaging shopping environment through effective merchandising, inventory management, and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining store presentation, ensuring product availability, and supporting daily store operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and possesses a strong sense of visual design and merchandising principles to enhance the customer experience.

Duties

• Stock shelves and displays efficiently, implementing planograms to optimize product placement and visual appeal
• Manage inventory levels through accurate stock counting, material handling equipment operation, and inventory control procedures
• Assist with product pricing, labeling, and signage updates to ensure consistency with branding standards
• Support merchandising initiatives by setting up promotional displays, visual merchandising setups, and remodeling projects
• Operate retail POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions involving cash handling and sales processing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of stock areas, including manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and ladder use for high shelving
• Collaborate with store management on stock replenishment, planogram implementation, and store layout improvements
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product location, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Support training & development efforts for new team members on store procedures and safety protocols
• Use mobile devices for inventory updates, communication with team members, and reporting issues promptly

Qualifications

• Proven supervising or leadership experience within retail or stock management environments
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for visual design tasks related to merchandising materials
• Knowledge of schematics and interior design principles applicable to retail space remodeling and visual merchandising
• Experience in store management or retail sales with a focus on merchandising strategies and planogram implementation
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely; familiarity with ladder use and heavy lifting techniques required
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and training purposes
• Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Basic math skills for pricing accuracy, retail math calculations, and inventory control tasks
• Organizational skills essential for managing stock levels, inventory records, and time-sensitive tasks
• Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to addressing shopper needs
