Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations while providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and goods during loading, unloading, and delivery processes with proper technique to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving familiarity.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable. Class A or B CDL preferred. New CDL Graduates accepted.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 100lbs with Team member assistance) and manual labor safely during loading and unloading tasks.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving.
