Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, offering detailed product demos when appropriate.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on product effects, usage, and benefits, ensuring customers make informed decisions.
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure product availability and presentation.
- Upsell complementary products and promote new or featured items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on new offerings to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, addressing questions about products or store policies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to cannabis sales and store operations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end.
- Support team members through supervising experience when needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments involving POS systems and cashiering duties.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles within retail settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate customers effectively about products.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Experience with retail math, stock management, merchandising, and grocery store operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cannabis or alternative wellness product knowledge is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
