Ironworker Rigger:
- Align, level, and anchor cranes and equipment.
- Select gear, shackles, and cables according to load size and work schedule.
- Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
- Attach loads to rigging.
- Connect pulleys and blocks to overhead structures.
- Signal or give verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure machine is functioning properly.
- Dismantle, clean, maintain, repair, and store rigging equipment.
