The purpose of this position is to apply knowledge of the Company’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices, policies, and procedures to assist and support the Company’s HSE professionals to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment in order to avoid and minimize human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is achieved through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to fostering positive culture and protecting people and the environment.

Job Description

- Operate as high levelsupport to an HSE specialist on a project or contract in the field or office
- Perform assigned tasks applying established Company procedures
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Company’s HSE standards, programs and goals by promoting and fostering HSE procedures as established by the Company through departmental training on a project site or in an office, Fluor University® training and the use of knowledge management portals and communities
- Apply and enforce HSE standards and goals with programs throughout the company and/or project to ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Create, administer and monitor HSE programs involving all levels of employees on the project or in the office through presentations, materials, and activities
- Other duties as assigned
- A combination of high school diploma and HSE related experience equal to three (3) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that may include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge mandatory to complete the job
- Ability to focus on detail and work in a time-effective manner
- Gather and analyze industry-wide HSE-related information and data for review and application
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
- Effective oral and written communication skills
