Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position is responsible for accurately receiving raw materials, preparing finished goods for shipment, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
This role plays a key part in keeping production running smoothly and ensuring customer orders ship on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Accurately enter receiving and shipping data into inventory systems
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Prepare finished goods for shipment, including packaging and palletizing
- Create shipping labels and coordinate with carriers for pickups
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
