As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a motivated and skilled Design Technician to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Technician to play a key role in the development of new boat model construction (from start to finish). This individual will be responsible for the creation of 3D models, mold engineering and drafting documents to facilitate the construction process.

This position will require strong modeling and drafting skills. Individuals with a base in drafting and solid works are excellent candidates. We use NX software but have trained other software modelers to make a smooth and quick transition.

Duties

  • Conceptualize and create design layouts for various projects, including digital and print media.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop new design ideas that align with project goals.
  • Utilize design software to produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and prototypes.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all platforms.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design practices.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Passion for CAD modeling and design
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with CADR software (Nx), SolidWorks, Rhino or similar tools
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Expertise in mechanical design principles and practices
  • Understanding of ergonomics and human factors in design
  • Excellent communication
  • Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
