Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Set up welding machines and select proper equipment, materials, and techniques based on project needs.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural metal products using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Test completed welds and fabricated products to ensure structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy meet A1 Milmac standards.
  • Grind, smooth, and finish welds as needed for project requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Document work performed and report issues or discrepancies as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding (GMAW, GTAW), with ability to pass A1 Milmac’s weld test.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Familiarity with various metals and welding processes.
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
