Position Details:
The Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and assemblies of mechanical components and systems. This role supports product development, prototyping, and manufacturing by transforming engineering concepts into accurate technical designs that meet functional, safety, and quality standards.
Also responsible for maintaining accurate drawing revisions and completing drawing redline changes in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks in collaboration with engineering and other cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings and models for mechanical parts, assemblies and full systems using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Work closely with mechanical engineering team to help develop and translate design concepts into manufacturable designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement and quality to ensure efficient project execution.
- Prepare 2D layout drawings such as P&IDs and plumbing layouts
- Perform basic engineering calculations, as well as measuring tolerances and completing design verification checks.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- 2 years or more of experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Education with Associate or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or drafting is helpful

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
