Role Summary

The Inventory Tech III is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory levels of materials and products. This role manages all aspects of inventory control, ensures compliance with established procedures, and trains team members on inventory best practices. Responsibilities include tracking product, accessories, and consumables, and applying inventory management techniques such as 5S and FIFO.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the inventory team.

  • Plan and prioritize daily activities, including cycle counts, adjustments, audits, damaged/expired materials, waste tracking, and supply maintenance.

  • Communicate inventory needs and changes to the Management Team.

  • Work closely with order fulfillment and retail teams to ensure timely shipment of hub materials.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

  • Ensure inventory levels are met for both onsite and offsite storage locations.

  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with inventory processes.

  • Maintain strategies that support safety, productivity, quality, cost effectiveness, and profitability.

  • Manage inventory of supplies, raw materials, by-products, and PPE.

  • Communicate workflow updates, staffing needs, and issues to relevant personnel.

  • Ensure warehouse organization and adherence to company standards and safety requirements.

  • Support cross-training and development of team members in SOPs, safety, and operational tasks.

  • Enter designated inventory items into the BioTrack database.

  • Operate electric and propane forklift equipment as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of management or leadership experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory audits.


Skills

  • Skilled in operating forklifts and scissor lifts.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.

  • Demonstrates integrity, reliability, dedication, and a strong work ethic.

  • Follows detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and speed.

  • Effective time-management and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).

  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversees the inventory department and its team members.


Work Environment

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments and routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.


Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, reach, and use hands.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently.

  • Requires periods of bending, walking, standing, and performing other physical tasks.

  • High attention to detail is essential.


Position Type / Work Hours

This is a full-time position. Some long hours and occasional weekend work may be required.


Travel

Primarily local during the business day, with occasional out-of-area or overnight travel.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.


Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old (state law requirement).

  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
