Flue Fighters Chimney Company is growing, and we're looking for an ambitious, motivated individual who wants more than just a job.
No chimney experience is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know. What we're looking for is someone with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and the drive to become an expert in the industry.
This position combines technical home inspections with customer education and sales. You'll inspect chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems, then help homeowners understand what you found and recommend the best solutions to keep their homes safe.
If you're comfortable talking with people, enjoy solving problems, and aren't afraid of getting dirty or climbing on a roof, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Perform chimney and fireplace inspections
- Climb roofs safely to inspect chimney systems
- Enter attics and crawlspaces when necessary
- Take detailed photos and document findings using tablets and inspection software
- Educate homeowners about the condition of their chimney
- Present repair recommendations and answer customer questions
- Continue learning building codes, fireplace systems, and industry best practices
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience on every visit
What We're Looking For
- High desire to learn and continually improve
- Self-motivated with the ability to study and educate yourself
- Comfortable speaking with homeowners and building trust
- Strong communication skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using tablets, apps, and digital inspection software
- Physically capable of climbing ladders, walking roofs, working in attics, crawlspaces, and lifting equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous chimney experience
- Construction, roofing, HVAC, masonry, or home inspection experience
- Sales or customer service experience
Compensation
- Hourly pay during training and onboarding
- Transition to a performance-based compensation plan as skills and certifications are earned
- Significant earning potential for motivated individuals who excel at serving customers
Schedule
- Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime or seasonal scheduling may be available
