The purpose of the position is to execute rebuild Jobs at the shop on Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves. Some site visits are also included as regular activities for this role to provide technical support for FLSmidth products.
Your Responsibilities
- Promote a "safety first" culture by active participation in safety toolbox meetings, continuous evaluation of the work site for potential hazards or unsafe actions, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the site or work to be performed, and report near misses/hazards, accidents, or injuries (no matter the severity) and identify unsafe equipment/work per company guidelines or procedures.
- Perform quality work by following instructions and procedures.
- Practice tool management by properly using and caring for tools and equipment.
- Attend any required training classes.
- Abide by company policies, work procedures, guidelines, and job site analysis.
- Read drawings to complete rebuild jobs.
- Manage warehousing activities, keeping parts stocked according to the inventory.
- Maintain tools and equipment at the shop in proper condition.
- Support technically FLSmidth products visiting customers in the area.
- Preferred is 5 years of experience performing mechanical construction or mechanical repairs of industrial process equipment.
- Able to perform metal working techniques (grinding; cutting; welding) and alignment methods to efficiently deliver a consistent level of quality.
- Capable of using a computer and software systems (MS-Office, MS-Project, Adobe and similar).
- Willingness to travel and work with a team of professionals.
