Job Summary
Operate industrial sewing (tubing) machines for the manufacture of filtration products.
Primary Duties
- Operate industrial sewing (tubing) machines using multiple types of fabrics and threads.
- Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and while following quality guidelines.
- Ensure integrity and quality of product in accordance with quality standards.
- Inspect and repair finished products as needed and adjust the machine as needed to prevent quality issues.
- Perform housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Activity Demands
- Sitting for up to 2.5 hours per period.
- Standing for up to 2.5 hours per period.
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and foot-ankle motion
- Close visual acuity
Requirements
- Ability to communicate using English
- Ability to read measuring devices
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Reliable and punctual attendance
Experience
- One year experience working as an industrial sewer
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
