Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time night position (36 hours per week) in our Nursing Department for a RN - House Supervisor.We offer a positive culture that supports a healthy work-life balance and provides opportunities for professional growth and development.
RN - House Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care during assigned shift. In the absence of the Director of Patient Care and/or designee, the House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator.
- Work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames, demonstrating awareness of age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages in meeting each patient's unique needs for basic nursing care.
- 12-hour shifts (7:00pm - 7:00am).
- Every third weekend, every third holiday, and occasional call.
RN - House Supervisor Requirements:
- Licensed as a registered nurse in Iowa and/or meets the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; experience in a variety of acute care clinical settings (i.e. ICU, Med/Surg, and OB) is preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required. TNCC is required if working in the Emergency Department.
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate required as an employee.
