Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Test Technician to join our Validation and Test team, with a dedicated focus on Flowserve’s smart digital positioner products. In this role, you will execute validation and testing activities to ensure product performance, reliability, safety, and accuracy. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of digital positioner issues, supporting both product development and continuous improvement. Work schedule: Mondays to Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm. Location: Springville, UT. Responsibilities: Execute test plans to evaluate product functionality across all stages of design. Conduct functional, integration, and system-level testing. Verify compatibility with industrial control systems (PLCs, DCS, IS Barriers). Validate industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, etc.). Operate automated test setups using LabVIEW-based systems and scripting tools (working knowledge expected, but not primary development responsibility). Work with test equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, 4–20 mA loop calibrators, digital multimeters, and environmental chambers. Assist in design and optimization of custom test fixtures and automated setups. Maintain accurate test reports, logs, and quality assurance documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISO, IEC, ATEX for hazardous environments). Support FMEA activities (DFMEA, PFMEA) and contribute to design reviews. Provide test specifications and validated test limits to the manufacturing test group. Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve designs. Analyze test data and recommend design improvements. Provide feedback on hardware, software, and firmware enhancements. Investigate failures and anomalies in digital positioner products. Perform structured RCA using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, or fault-tree analysis. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective actions. Document findings and track resolution to prevent recurrence. Requirements Associate’s degree (AAS) or equivalent; 2 years of hands-on experience in digital product testing with a focus in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in an R&D environment, specifically involving instrumentation or control products.
